Food is good and service is fast! Had the burger this time delicious. Fries are always good. Ate outside and when the L goes by it is loud

After watching YouTubers "Number Six with Cheese"videos on the Chicago burger scene, I made the trek from Rockford down to the Red Hot Ranch on Armitage. I ordered the highly recommended double cheese smash burger and fries with a drink - the total was $10.50 for all items. Dining was outside under L tracks - let me tell you that train is LOUD when it roars over you! Very Cool The burger was good! It reminded me a lot of my years in LA eating at In & Out. The fries appeared to be handcut & seasoned with salt pretty well. Thank you Sean and Cory

Cash only! Went with the double cheeseburger and fries as well as the hot dog. The burger was two smash patties with American cheese. The patties were crispy with the edges being even crispier. The lettuce, tomato, onion, and sauce were all typical. The fries reminded me of five guys just not as tasty. They also got cold quickly which didn't help. Finally, the hot dog was a regular boiled dog that was slightly sweet. Definitely a contrast to the burger. Even though it's cash only, you only need $8 for a double cheeseburger. Combing the price and taste, well worth a visit.

I'm a little biased (my family owned a burger and hot dog joint in the suburbs) but this place is pretty great! Affordable price, plentiful fries that are golden, and the smash burger is tasty and includes an animal style in n out sauce of sorts. I'll definitely keep this place in mind if I need a quick bite! Downside is that their only seating are bench tables outside (aka no back support and no winter time visits for me). Cash only!

I love this place. They have the best burgers and fries for a good price. The burger was juicy and love their sauce that they put on it. The fries are really good and flavorful. Just be aware it's cash only. But don't worry, they do have an ATM on site. Highly recommend.

Red hot ranch has adorned many a list for best burger in Chicago. Some people even listing it as their #1. I had to stop in and see for myself. Super low key unassuming spot. CASH ONLY. I know but it's a digital age etc etc. well if this keeps prices low like they are, fine by me. It was like $7 for a double RHR burger and fries and $5 something for a double dog. I hope like costcos trusty 1.50 hot dog/soda combo, this never changes. You can't beat the price. But wait, what about the flavor? Surely something so cheap can't be that good? This burger oozes flavor. Traditional smash burger with the perfect amount of cheese. It was a heavenly experience sitting out on the patio and soaking in the deliciousness on a hot day with the train rattling on the tracks above us. Now the fries. The fries take me back to beach days on the east coast with Thrashers fries soaked in vinegar and salt. These are real fries with that bit of potato skin still on the ends. None of that freezer slop. The hot dog was solid. Sport pepper, onion, and mustard topping. But the burger was absolutely the star of the show. Definitely a top 5 burger in Chicago and a must visit.

Red Hot Ranch gets a 10/10 from me. It's a super casual and low key spot. There isn't any seating inside and one of the only downsides is that the patio tables are right under train tracks outside. I would say this is a great place for take out, but not dine in. The service was quick and we only had to wait 5/10 minutes. The burger was cooked well and the fries remind me of five guys. Note: cash only! (ATM inside)

The food was good! Fresh, hot, of good quality. Bookmarked for a few years and searching for a good burger. I decided it was their day. Lol, we went about 8 pm, and it was empty until we ordered, then people started coming up and packing the place. We ordered burgers, polish, and fried shrimp. DELICIOUS EVERYTHING!!!! We ordered well done everything, and it wasn't. We had to take the polish back to have them deep fry them more, but they were cool about it. I'm definitely going back! They lost a star because I saw an employee use the restroom, and the sink didn't have water or soap in it, idk if he washed his hands or not. **SIDE EYE***

We loved the burgers here!! Cheap and good value meal in Logan Square. Friendly workers who were patient with us since it was our first time. We didn't want fries with each item (automatically comes with it) but they told us it would only be 50 cents off. If it's 50 cents for a big side of fries, then why not just keep them?? It was cash only and I only had 20 bucks on me - we were able to get a double cheeseburger with fries, a single cheeseburger, and a polish dog. Originally we had one more cent of fries but I was 25 cents short lol. Burgers were juicy and filling. They were known for how good their fries were and my husband loved them. They were OK for me lol - try for yourself and decide! Definitely returning when we are craving a quick and cheap meal. FYI, outdoor seating only. Great for takeout!
